Jim Hoban Memorial Day

Sunday’s round was a special one at Pyramid Hill Golf Club as we honoured one of the club’s most respected and passionate members — the late Jim Hoban.
In true Jim fashion, the format for the day was Count Your Putts — a quirky, brutal and honest format that Jim loved. No pick-ups, no short cuts, and certainly no gimmes. Every putt had to be holed.
🏆 Count Your Putts Champion – Steve Gibson
Club President Steve Gibson proved that calm hands and steady nerves still matter, taking out the Count Your Putts honours. No word yet on whether he’ll reveal his secret – but there’s talk of laser focus and some home putting practice!
🌟 Winner of the Day – Jarad Smith
The overall winner for the day was Jarad Smith, shooting a net 67 and a brilliant 39 points. With smart course management and clutch putting, Jarad was a clear standout on a day where finishing every hole was the only way to score.
